Behind The Scenes: Lifestyle Shoot w/ Celebrity Photographer in New York City

Hey guys! In today's tutorial, you get to go behind the scenes of my website relaunch/promotional brand photoshoot with celebrity photographer, Jazz Shoots. I try to take professional images every 3-6 months for branding purposes. This time my very talented and acclaimed photographer buddy, Jazz, offered to shoot me. I was such a lucky girl because her business partner - stylist and creative director extraordinaire - Hack, helped direct and conceptualize the shoot. In the beginning of this vlog, you see and hear a part of our conversation about me getting comfortable in front of the lens.

Although my pictures usually come out well, I'm used to glam'n the talent, not being the talent. I also know that sometimes I can be my own worst critic - self concious and self-sabotaging. BUT pushing myself to try new things (like get in front of the lens on and off of Youtube) is one of the best things I have done to help boost my self confidence and hone my awkwardness.

With that being said, I encourage you all to do that thing that's ridiculously scary to you! Put yourself out there. Make that call. Send that email. Start that blog or channel or business. Take a chance on yourself! Done is better than perfect and you can't get better at what you don't start. Hey, you might even surprise yourself with how good you actually are! ✨
